General
Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Safety Supervisor is to manage and monitor truck hours of service, hazardous material transportation, legal, and safe transport of product by over the road commercial motor vehicles. The Safety Supervisor must promote a professional image to independent contractors and other employees. This position also interacts with the operations and safety departments to provide exceptional service to our customers. Duties take place in an office environment with minimal travel for training or legal matters as required.

Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Audit truck hours of service and take appropriate action to promote safe and legal transportation.
Advise and support operation staff on proper assignment of trucks and hours or service needed to meet customer needs and maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance.
Monitor load activity changes and advise operation staff of sufficient hours to complete loads safely while obeying all state and federal regulations.
Ensure that all commodities on Panther vehicles are compatible with safety, Panther insurance requirements, and State & Federal regulations.
Have working knowledge of hazardous material placards, packaging, and segregation.
Have a working knowledge of FMCSA 49 CFR regulations.
Oversee the gathering of all documentation to ensure that the products are being shipped safely.
Ensure all federal regulations and Panther policies are followed after a reported accident or incident.
Communicate with operations staff any and all information that effects load performance and delivery.
Maintain confidentiality of legal, safety, and proprietary information.
Assess and identify risks to the public, Panther independent contractors, and customers.
Other duties as assigned
Required Education, Experience, Certification, Licenses, Registration:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Safety related degree or certification a plus
Previous Supervisory experience
Experience with Microsoft office products
5 years of experience with DOT and FMCSA regulations or related safety experience in commercial motor vehicle management.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Be the direct contact for safety issues and questions for both drivers and owners
Facilitate effective communication with operations and safety departments
Ability to determine appropriate course of action to maintain customer satisfaction.
Must possess a well-rounded general knowledge of transportation, insurance, and a working knowledge of safety regulations.
Ability to make independent judgment and use discretion in applying safety regulations appropriately.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
