Maintenance Technician

Participate in groups or teams to enhance the reliability and productivity of all equipment and processes in the plant. Work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment. Protect the company's investment in machinery and equipment by exercising proper care, skill and knowledge in the use of company investments

Required Skills:
Formal education as a Certified Maintenance Technician or similar credential
Ability to work SAFELY by following policies and procedures in an industrial environment (e.g. LOTO, Hot-Work, Line-Breaking, Fall-Protection)
Experienced troubleshooter of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in an industrial setting
Experienced troubleshooter electrical, 240VAC single and 3 phase. 440VAC 3 phase, 120 AC, 48VDC and 24VDC.
Ability to perform preventative and corrective maintenance in a team atmosphere and report all work through a computerized maintenance system (CMMS).
Personal Computer (PC) skills including Microsoft Outlook and Office suite
Effective communications skills are required including verbal, written, and electronic mail
Ability to read electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and P&IDs
Research parts, drawings, diagrams and schematics and prepare materials lists for projects or specific tasks
Procure parts & equipment, evaluate vendors, provide feedback to management staff
Machine rigging, leveling, alignment, and installation
Experience using calipers, indicators, micrometers, and multi-meters
Ability to use shop equipment such as: sanders, drill press, mills, lathe, surface grinder, press break, shear, vertical & horizontal band-saw
Ability to weld one or more of the following: MIG, TIG, Stick, and Plasma Cutter. Certified welder a plus.
Operate man-lift, scissors lift, and fork lift
Utility systems maintenance and operation (plant air, electrical, and steam)
Assist or lead in completion of PSM required inspections, testing and PM activities (e.g. annual infrared (IR) scans of electrical and mechanical equipment)
Machine and pump rebuilding, HVAC, welding, cutting, and some pipe fitting
Flexible work schedule to include working various shifts, split shifts, emergency call-ins, and overtime

Preferred Skills & Training:
Experience with Maintenance Connection (CMMS)
Ability to draft electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and P&IDs using AutoCAD
PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
Training in Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZMAT, DOT, and RMP
Experience with Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement processes
CNC/NC machine tool experience level
Carpentry and scaffolding experience
Ventilation & dust collection ductwork installation & fabrication
Railcar and Truck unloading of LP Gas, solvents and resin
Aerosol and bulk: mixing, filling and packaging operations experience


Salary starts at $26.24 with outstanding benefits.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
